Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a flexible and motivatedBand 5 CardiacPhysiologistto join our dynamic and supportive team. The post is based at Frimley Park Hospital, with an expectation to provide cross-site cover as service needs require.
The successful applicant will be competent to work independently, undertaking a broad range of invasive and non-invasive diagnostic investigations and procedures. Responsibilities will also include contributing to the training and supervision of junior staff, adapting to the changing needs of the department, and participating in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
We are seeking an individual who demonstrates commitment to professional development, with a willingness to further enhance their knowledge and skills in line with service requirements.
Cath Lab Experience and Responsibilities
Actively working towards competency in pacing implants and follow-ups.
Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), temporary pacing wire (TPW), and participation in the on-call rota for PPCI and device emergencies.
Contribute to the 24/7 primary PCI service rota.
Ensure all procedures are carried out in line with departmental policies, protocols, and risk assessments, while also contributing to their review and development.
Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and technical skills in line with advances in cardiology, identifying and addressing personal training needs.
Deliver a consistently high standard of patient care with strong attention to detail.
Perform medically unsupervised exercise testing and assist in stress echocardiography procedures.
Conduct and analyse ambulatory monitoring, including blood pressure and ECG.
Some experience in tilt table testing.
