Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school team on a long-term temporary basis, starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will create a positive and stimulating learning environment, supporting pupils as they build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy and personal development.
Duties as Year 1 Teacher:
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
Assess, record and report on pupils’ progress and attainment.
Provide a nurturing classroom environment that supports each child’s social and emotional growth.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to meet individual learning needs.
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities where appropriate.
Ideal Year 1 Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1.
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Year 1 Teacher.
Strong communication skills and a passion for inspiring young learners.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
