Summary


This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of this expanding service which we are delivering across Bolton: The Mental Health Support Team (MHST).

We are looking for skilled practitioners, with mental health experience, who can provide low intensity evidenced based CBT interventions, manage risk and are passionate about young person-centred practice.

Successful candidates will play an important part in the in the delivery of high-quality service provision that promotes and improves the mental health and well-being of young people in education settings.

As part of the growing serivce, you will be empowered to shape and build the service with further education settings in Bolton. You will help build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and the wider network.

The Senior Mental Health Practitioner will be an integral part of the MHST in Bolton.

You will use your clinical skills to listen to the needs of the child, young person and family to provide meaningful evidenced based interventions. You will provide support, advice and consultation to families/carers and other professionals in the life of the child/young person. You will work closely with education professionals to foster a whole school/college approach to mental well-being.

you will use leadership skills to support, develop and empower staff in the serivce as well as developing the serivce itself though quality improvement, audit and evaluation.

The MHST Mental Health Practitioner will play a key role in
• Forming strong working relations with education settings
• Providing consultations to education colleagues and support education settings to embed a whole school approach to wellbeing
• Developing and delivering evidence-based individual and group time limited interventions to young people within education settings
• Evidencing the outcomes of the MHST service
• Providing clinical supervision to Education Mental Health practitioners
