Summary
About the Role:
We have an opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join our firm.
The Facilities Assistant will report to the Chief Operating Officer who oversees the firm’s business support functions, including Facilities.
The role is part time with the hours of 7.45 am to 1.00 pm Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
• Open the office at 7.45 am
• Collect post from Royal Mail Depot at 8.00 am
• Scanning of post to relevant departments
• Travel to offsite storage unit as required to manage the firm’s archived client matters. This will also include destruction of files that are no longer required
• To assist with recording archived files accurately within the firm’s case management system. To also include recording of storage areas within offsite location
• Assist with the request of files/documents
• Assist with maintenance and repair of the office building, including coordination of external suppliers as necessary, to provide an efficient and safe working environment
• Assist with grounds maintenance.
• Assist with general tasks of a practical nature, such as moving items around the office to help colleagues and making good use of onsite storage facilities.

Requirements:
• Comfortable with lifting and carrying of boxes and using a ladder
• Basic DIY skills and ability to carry out minor repairs
• Ability to work independently offsite
• Full UK Driving Licence essential and use of a car for business purposes when required. Mileage allowance to be included.
