Summary
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Day Shift Supervisor to oversee and optimize day-to-day operations of a plant.
The successful candidate will provide strong leadership, uphold company policies, and ensure all activities meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and set high expectations for on-site staff, fostering a positive and efficient workplace.
Monitor and optimize plant operations, staff workflow, and inbound/outbound logistics.
Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Maintain high standards of practice and adherence to company policies.
Continuously monitor housekeeping, safety, welfare, and production quality.
Oversee site security and ensure proper documentation aligns with ISO standards.
Communicate effectively with directors, the Site Manager, and staff to ensure smooth operations.
Person Specification:
Proven experience manufacturing/processing plant.
Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with solid problem-solving capabilities.
Experience operating mobile plant equipment (e.g., FLT, loading shovel, grab).
High proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
Computer literacy and competent email skills.
Shift Details:
Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 18:00
Saturday, 07:00 - 11:30
Annual leave – 20 days + Bank holidays
Pay - £15.00 - £16.00 p/h
