The Workplace Manager will be responsible for both the tactical and strategic management of this key account, ensuring seamless delivery across all services including FOH, Cleaning, Waste, Catering & Hospitality, Mailroom, and Workplace services. You will design efficient delivery models, optimise resources, and drive operational excellence while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Job Description
In this role, you will ensure compliance with all contractual, legal, and Health & Safety requirements, proactively identifying and mitigating risks. You will also play a key role in shaping the long-term vision for the site, implementing improvements, and championing innovation to enhance productivity and service quality.
You will lead by example, demonstrating pride, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset, inspiring your team to deliver outstanding results. Through your leadership, ISS will continue to strengthen its reputation as an industry leader, delivering exceptional service and value to the client.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, implement, and manage delivery of all services in line with contract scope and strategic objectives.
Control budgets, manage resources, and drive innovations to improve productivity and service value.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and prompt resolution of issues.
Ensure adherence to legislation, contractual obligations, and safety standards, mitigating risks proactively.
Lead, engage, and develop staff, implementing performance management, training, and succession plans.
Identify opportunities for service improvements, implement changes with minimal disruption, and maintain service excellence.
Create and communicate a compelling vision for the site aligned with the Account Strategy, promoting quality client engagement.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Previous operations management experience, ideally within facilities management, though FM industry experience is not essential.
Proven ability to manage a portfolio, multiple stakeholders, and direct reports.
Strong knowledge of operational frameworks, including risk management, planned maintenance, quality systems, and Health & Safety legislation.
Proactive, driven, and a self-starter with the ability to take initiative and lead change.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships at all levels.
Willingness to be site-based full-time (5 days a week).
