Summary

Job Advert
Are you someone who enjoys supporting others to live life to the fullest? At Mencap, we’re looking for a kind, reliable, and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Whittlesey and provide one-to-one support to a fantastic lady with an active lifestyle. Due to this, any applicants must have a full UK driving licence as she has her own mobility car.

She’s sociable, friendly, and loves getting involved in her local community. Her week is filled with activities that bring her joy — from volunteering and swimming, to shopping trips, spending time with her family, and occasionally going out to see live shows. She has a passion for life, and thrives when supported by people who truly care.

Your role will be to support her in continuing to do the things she loves, while also providing assistance with daily living. This includes support with personal care, manual handling, meal preparation, and following strategies from her speech and language therapy (SALT) plan. You'll be someone who can offer encouragement and practical help while always respecting her choices and independence.

Shifts are available from 9am to 5pm and 5pm to 9pm across 7 days a week. Whether you’re looking for full-time hours or a few regular shifts, we’d love to hear from you.

You don’t need previous experience in care — what matters most is your attitude, your willingness to learn, and your commitment to making a positive impact. Full training will be provided, along with ongoing development and support from a team that truly values what you do.

Working with Mencap means joining an organisation that puts people first. You’ll be part of a supportive team, enjoy access to a range of employee benefits, and most importantly, you’ll be making a real difference in someone’s life every single day.

If you’re ready to start a meaningful career where you’ll help someone live a happy, fulfilled, and independent life, then we’d love to hear from you.
