Role Overview
These roles sit with the National Valuation Unit (NVU) Industrial, Commercial and Crown team, which is a dynamic specialist branch of The Chief Valuer Group delivering valuations for the most complex and high value properties across England and Wales.

This is a technical surveying and leadership role primarily focussed on delivery of complex Non Domestic casework, as well as supporting the Senior Management Team in the transferring of skills across the sector to build capability.
Key responsibilities
- Delivery of complex Non Domestic Rating casework, and/or to provide technical leadership, guidance and support to caseworker.
- Leading group pre-challenge review schemes (GPCR’s) and other forms of central discussion.
- Supporting and driving the delivery of the Revaluation Programme, including (but not limited to) evidence gathering/analysis, writing practice notes and leading central discussions on prior agreement.
- Leading, motivating and inspiring others to deliver results including sharing your professional knowledge to help others develop.
- To offer advice or guidance on complex issues which cannot be resolved within the normal rules or precedents.
- To potentially provide expert witness and advocacy in complex litigation at Valuation Tribunal England/ Wales (VTE/VTW) and Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) - UTLC and beyond.
- To act as a Counsellor/Supervisor to colleagues undertaking profession qualifications
- If appropriate to the role undertake selected casework where the outcome has a wider impact, setting frameworks or, where a high level of expertise is required, resolving the issues raised.
