About Hawthorne Park SEN Academy - Graduate Learning Support Assistant

Hawthorne Park SEN Academy is a welcoming specialist school in Barnet, supporting students aged 11–16 with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties. The Role – Graduate Learning Support Assistant

As a Graduate LSA, you will:

• Provide academic and emotional support to pupils with additional needs.
• Work 1:1 and in small groups, helping students build confidence and independence.
• Adapt resources and teaching strategies to make learning accessible.
• Encourage positive behaviour and active engagement in lessons.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and therapists to create a nurturing environment.

• £520–£575 per week, paid weekly via PAYE (no umbrella deductions).

About You - Graduate Learning Support Assistant

We’re looking for someone who is: Graduate Learning Support Assistant

• A recent graduate (2:1 or above preferred) in Psychology, Education, English, or a related field.
• Experienced in working with children or young people (e.g., tutoring, youth work, volunteering).
• Calm, adaptable, and resilient when faced with challenges.
• Genuinely passionate about SEN and inclusive education.
