Summary

Join us as a Senior UX Designer

  • We'll look to you to be a passionate advocate for great customer experiences, bringing your creative and strategic thinking skills
  • You'll be at the forefront of UX design solutions that employ and improve our principles, standards and design patterns, centred around best practice, consistency and re-use
  • In return, you’ll have a genuine impact on our customers, and will be well positioned to gain recognition for you and your work
  • You’ll work from home some of the time, but you’ll also spend up to two days a week working from the office

What you'll do

As a Senior UX Designer, you’ll lead the design and delivery of seamless, user-centred experiences across our digital platforms. Working with a talented, cross-functional team, you’ll turn research into opportunities, problem statements, user journeys and wireframes that bring ideas to life. Your work will shape intuitive, emotionally resonant products that deliver real value to users and the business alike.

Key aspects of your role will also include:

  • Strategic mindset. Goes beyond surface-level design. Supports in shaping the product and experience strategy to align user needs with long-term product and experience vision
  • Translating customer research into actionable artifacts like user needs, empathy maps, problem statements and customer journey maps
  • Facilitating workshops and shapes the experience vision that aligns with both user goals and business objectives
  • Leading the end-to-end design process, working with agile project teams and managing key stakeholders to develop and own the delivery of user centred solutions within project timeframes and objectives
  • Drives and participates in user research and testing activities and iterative testing to refine designs based on user feedback and performance metrics
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and enhance user journeys and features that deliver real customer value
  • Inspiring and mentoring others by sharing knowledge, championing design thinking, and taking teams on a journey to elevate user experience across the organisation

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with an extensive UX Design portfolio, which demonstrates experience and strategic thinking, and can translate insights into actionable experiences using well-defined and well-thought-through methodologies.

We’ll also be looking for:

  • A leader who can lead a team or a project and manage it end to end
  • Solid UX experience across multiple platforms using tools like Figma - crafting user flows, wireframes, and solid rationale for every decision taken
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into clear design briefs, collaborating closely with other designers, developers, and product managers
  • Ability to communicate ideas with clarity and impact—through storytelling, presentations, and a design that showcases your thinking, rationale and execution
  • Line management experience and ability to inspire and coach junior designers in the team
