HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) Night Drivers - Gateshead

Night Shifts Start Between 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Competitive Pay Rates: £17.75 - £20.75 per hour (PAYE)

The Best Connection are seeking to recruit HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) Drivers to work with our client based in Gateshead. Our client is expanding their transport team to support outbound deliveries of packaging products across the UK.

The Role:
  • Trunking runs to set locations around England
  • Night shifts start between 4:00pm and 6:00pm
  • Drivers are welcome to work day shifts, night shifts, or both
  • Speed, efficiency, and accuracy are essential to ensure on-time deliveries
  • This is a customer-facing role requiring a professional and friendly approach
  • Induction and driving assessment required before starting
The Candidate:
  • Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) licence
  • Minimum 1 year of commercial Class 1 driving experience
  • Smart appearance and positive, professional attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hours of Work:
  • Night shifts start between 4:00pm and 6:00pm
  • Flexible scheduling with shifts offered on an ad hoc basis
  • Plenty of ongoing work for suitable candidates
Pay Rates (PAYE):
  • £17.75 per hour - Monday to Friday (Night shifts)
  • Day shift pay rates available on enquiry
  • £19.75 per hour - Saturday (Night shifts)
  • £20.75 per hour - Sunday and Bank Holidays (Night shifts)
