Summary
Extend Learning Academies Network (ELAN) has a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and motivated catering assistant to join the trust’s catering services. Within this role, you will be based at Locking Primary School but you will be required to cover any catering assistant absences throughout our nine primary schools in and around Weston-super-Mare.Interview: 20 October 2025Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday-Friday, term-time Actual salary: E1C £8,655.25 per annum plus excellent benefits packageA school catering assistant is a vital part of the team that keeps pupils well-fed and lunchtime running smoothly. preparing and serving meals: Assisting with food prep, cooking and ensuring meals are served efficiently.
maintaining hygiene: Cleaning kitchen areas, equipment, and dining spaces to meet health and safety standardssupporting pupils: Encouraging children to choose healthy options and helping them during meal service. a vital member of the central team estates and facilities services. You will be required to work from any of ELAN’s locations. Therefore, access to transport is essential as you will be required to cover staff absence in other schools catering teams.
