Job Description
We’re offering you an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role as a mechanic foreperson based at our Fleet Repair Depot Inverurie, you will be responsible for the service and repair of Aberdeenshire’s fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment. You will also be expected to assist the Supervisor with the daily running of the workshop . Every day you will have the chance to work on the wide range of vehicles and plant that we operate, anything from LGV’s to quarry equipment or even a chain saw.
With over 800 vehicles and 1500 items of plant our fleet is large and varied consisting of cars, light commercial vehicles and minibuses, heavy commercial vehicles, quarry equipment such as slew diggers, dumpers along with loading shovels, telehandlers. Smaller plant items such as mowers, trailers, mini tractors add to the variety of work you can expect.
The working week is Monday to Friday, the hours are 37 hrs a week over 4 days with a rolling day off, giving you a great work life balance.
You will be required to be on standby approximately 4 weeks of the year, occasional overtime is available if workload requires but not guaranteed or compulsory.

Requirements
