Summary
Garden Supervisor – Berkhamsted
We’re looking for an experienced Formal Garden Supervisor who is passionate and creative to join our client's team in Berkhamsted. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take pride in maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces, while leading a small team to deliver high standards of horticultural care.
Location: Berkhamsted
Hours: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Shifts: 40 hours per week, some weekends will be inculded on rota
What you’ll do:
• Supervise and support a team of gardeners on site.
• Carry out a variety of gardening tasks including planting, pruning, weeding, lawn care, and seasonal maintenance.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
• Monitor health and safety, ensuring safe use of tools and machinery.
• Communicate with clients and head gardener to ensure the gardens are kept to specification.
What we’re looking for:
• Strong horticultural knowledge and practical gardening skills.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
• A positive, proactive attitude and keen eye for detail.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• Chainsaw Licence CS30/31/32.
• Confident in operating/maintaining garden machinery
