Plus generous benefits including a generous Occupational Pension SchemeAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Catering Supervisor to join the team to work in our busy catering outlets with focus on leading the team in our branded coffee operation. Whilst assisting the Catering management team in leading and supporting the Catering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service, customer satisfaction, health, hygiene and safety by meeting and exceeding strict standards. This is a physically active role that involves regular movement throughout the shift, including lifting and handling catering supplies and equipment. As a Catering Supervisor, you'll be on your feet for much of the day, supporting the team and ensuring smooth service delivery. A good level of physical fitness and stamina will help you thrive in this fast-paced environment.The post will be 37 full weeks per year, commencing during the first week prior to the start of term (last week of August) and finishing during staff training week (1st week in July). The working hours are on-site from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 2:30pm, although flexibility is required around the needs of the businessAbout the PersonExperience working in a busy catering operation, and leading a team of catering professionals is essential. Experience of working in a branded coffee operation would be desirable but not essential. You will be reliable, committed and have an ability to adapt to fluctuating changes in demand. You should have exceptional customer service skills, be a clear communicator and be able to demonstrate great teamwork. The role is very hands on, so a ‘can-do’ and proactive approach is essential.About the CollegeWe are a large, regional college serving a population across York and North Yorkshire of more one million people.
