We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join Falkirk Council’s Sport & Leisure Team in the role of Team Leader.

Working as part of a passionate and ambitious service, you will play a pivotal role in leading operational excellence and driving transformation across our sport and leisure portfolio. You will ensure that services remain sustainable, innovative, and impactful, supporting health and wellbeing outcomes for our communities while delivering high-quality customer experiences.

As a Sport & Leisure Team Leader, your primary focus will be on Operations & Transformation:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across our schools facilities and service areas, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations.
  • Lead, support, and motivate teams through change, embedding a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the delivery of business and transformation plans, prioritising financial sustainability, growth of commercial income streams, increased participation and improved operational efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to modernise services, maximise community impact, and develop new opportunities.
  • Champion Falkirk’s sport and leisure transformation journey, ensuring services are future-fit and responsive to community needs.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a proven track record in leading operations and delivering transformational change within sport, leisure, or related services.
  • Brings strong leadership skills with experience in workforce development, performance improvement, and cultural change.
  • Understands compliance, risk, and health & safety, ensuring safe and sustainable operations.
  • Demonstrates strong financial and commercial awareness, with the ability to balance service quality and efficiency.
  • Is resilient, forward-thinking, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for our communities through sport and leisure.
