Summary
PRIMARY DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Using their lived experience and understanding of what matters to ethnic minority communities in Bradford at the end of life, to inform the study design, conduct, findings and dissemination plans. Work under the direction of the Senior Research Fellow and Principal Investigator at study sites, including community venues, to identify, consent and recruit participants into the study. Arrange and plan their own work on a day-to-day basis within the overall demands and priorities of the project, as agreed with the Senior Research Fellow/Principal Investigator. Organise the times and equipment for study visits. Work independently to arrange and conduct visits with research participants Be responsible for the collection of timely, accurate and complete data from participants: this includes interviews, workshops and observations. Report any anomalies in data to the Senior Research Fellow/Principal Investigator Be responsible for inputting data into the departmental database systems and producing feedback/reports as required. Monitor the quality of data collected and advise where quality is poor Contribute to the development of strategies to maximise response rates to studies Contribute to the development of study materials, including translations (where applicable), standard operating procedures and participant-facing materials. Ensure advice and information is available for relevant study sites. Organise, participate and take notes in meetings with other members of the Project Team and ask for clarification when needed. Attend training sessions as required Liaise with all relevant clinical, community and research staff Be familiar with and adhere to research protocols and standard operating procedures and work within the research governance framework (training will be provided) Work flexibly to accommodate the requirements of the project, where possible. Ensure the smooth running of the research project, maintaining clear and effective communication channels within the project team, study sites and participants Any other tasks commensurate with the grade which may be required from time to time to ensure the effective running of the study Contribute to the Yorkshire Quality and Safety Research teams collaborative and inclusive team culture. This includes a requirement to maintain a safe, clean and tidy work environment and to complete mandatory Infection Prevention and Control Training as provided by the Foundation Trust. All clinical staff must ensure rigorous and consistent compliance with standard infection control precautions, including hand hygiene, dress code and use of personal protective equipment and other clinical care policies and protocols applicable to infection prevention and control. Employees are required to challenge poor performance or poor practice in relation to infection prevention and report any breaches using relevant Trust procedures such as the Incident reporting system.
