Remarkable Jobs are recruiting on behalf of a specialist construction and fire safety contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality building and compliance projects across London and the South East. They are now seeking an experienced Fire Compartmentation Project Manager to join their growing team.
The Fire Compartmentation Project Manager Role:
As a Fire Compartmentation Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of fire safety projects, ensuring compliance with legislation, industry standards (e.g. PAS 9980, BS 9999), and client expectations. You will lead teams on-site, oversee subcontractors, liaise with clients, and ensure quality assurance across all fire compartmentation works.
Fire Compartmentation Project Manager Key Responsibilities:
• Manage compartmentation projects from survey through to completion and final sign-off.
• Conduct and oversee fire compartmentation surveys, identifying breaches and required remedial actions.
• Ensure compliance with BM Trada, FIRAS, Building Regulations, and approved specifications.
• Support and train Site Managers, ensuring health & safety and quality standards are met.
• Oversee project programmes, reporting progress using BSR applications (e.g. Boris, Letsbuild).
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and fire consultants, providing technical and project updates.
• Source subcontractors, manage variations, and oversee site materials procurement.
• Deliver accurate project documentation and quality reports.
What They Are Looking For in a Fire Compartmentation Project Manager:
Essential:
• Construction qualification (Level 6 or above) - CSCS Site Management, SMSTS, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role, specifically within fire compartmentation.
• Strong knowledge of PAS 9980:2022 methodology.
• FIRAS, BM Trada, or similar accreditation experience.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Competent in using BSR applications (essential).
