Summary
Purpose of the Role
To provide efficient, friendly, and high-quality support within the staff catering facilities at a prestigious banking head office in Edinburgh. The Catering Assistant will ensure that food and beverage services are delivered to the highest standards, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the catering operation.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation, presentation, and service of hot and cold food and beverages.
Ensure counters, dining areas, and kitchen spaces are kept clean, tidy, and well-stocked throughout service.
Replenish food and drink items as required, following portion control and food safety standards.
Provide excellent customer service to all staff and visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience.
Operate tills and handle transactions accurately, if required.
Support the Chef Manager and catering team in delivering functions, hospitality, and special events.
Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and company compliance procedures.
Report any equipment faults, shortages, or incidents to the Chef Manager or Supervisor.
Work as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient catering service at all times.
