Summary

The Role

Lancaster City Council is seeking a Weight Management Support Officer to join our team at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our successful Weight Management Programme, which helps local residents improve their health and wellbeing.

As part of this varied role, you will:

Provide vital administrative support, including booking and managing appointments and maintaining accurate electronic and paper records.
Be the first point of contact for service users, offering friendly and efficient customer service and handling enquiries with professionalism and care.
Support the team with project monitoring and reporting, ensuring information is recorded accurately and deadlines are met.
Assist with communications and marketing, including updating web pages, social media, and producing promotional materials to engage new service users.
Work closely with colleagues to ensure the programme runs smoothly and continues to make a positive difference in the community.
We’re looking for someone with strong organisational skills, great attention to details, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. Confidence with IT systems and a proactive, positive approach are essential.

We are recruiting for a 15 hour position, and additionally an 18 hour position. Please could applicants please specify on their application form which position they are interested in.
