Chalk Education are currently recruiting for a passionate Art and Design Technology Teacher to join a welcoming SEND Secondary School in Bootle, Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with creativity, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people with special educational needs.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and creative lessons in Art and Design Technology that inspire students and support their individual learning needs.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, social, emotional and mental health needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment where students are encouraged to express themselves and develop their practical skills.
- Work closely with the wider school team, including teaching assistants and support staff, to ensure every student thrives
- Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a PGDE, PGCE, DET or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching in a secondary setting (SEND experience desirable but not essential).
- Can demonstrate strong behaviour management and excellent communication skills.
- Brings creativity, resilience and flexibility to their teaching.
