Are you ready to be a real hero in the classroom?

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a warm, welcoming, and highly skilled team at our specialist SEN school in Harborne. Youll be working closely with secondary-aged pupils with autism and complex needs, supporting them to achieve their full potential in a safe, structured, and inspiring environment.

What youll be doing:

- Supporting pupils with a range of needs including ASD, sensory processing difficulties, and communication challenge
- Helping to deliver personalised learning programmes alongside experienced teachers and therapists
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help them feel calm, secure and valued
- Using creative approaches to engage students in learning, social interaction, and personal development
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a school that truly puts pupils first

What were looking for:

- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, especially autism and complex needs (school-based or otherwise)
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment
- An understanding of safeguarding, positive behaviour support, and person-centred practice
- Relevant qualifications are welcome, but attitude, empathy and commitment are what matter most!
