Summary

Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Relief Cleaner, working as and when required, to undertake cleaning services to schools and buildings at Mearns Academy. Carry out cleaning duties in Aberdeenshire Council Education and Children’s Services premises.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation. Weekdays during term time, early morning (before 8am) or at the end of the school day (after 3pm) on an ad-hoc basis

Aberdeenshire Council currently applies a Living Wage Supplement to all Council employees earning less that £13.06 per hour.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months in the last 5 years outside of the UK, an Overseas Criminal Record Check must be obtained. The candidate is responsible for obtaining this check. A confirmed offer of employment is dependent on the outcome of both these checks being satisfactory.
