Job Summary:
Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Stockport, is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic CNC Machinist to join their production team.This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced machinist who takes pride in precision work and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

CNC Machinist Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC machinery (Riello) safely and efficiently
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure dimensional accuracy
• Make CNC program adjustments to maintain production and quality standards
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and promptly report any issues
• Work collaboratively to achieve production targets and deadlines
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area

CNC Machinist Safety Responsibilities:

• Follow all site-specific health and safety policies and procedures
• Wear PPE at all times and encourage safe practices among colleagues
• Report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents immediately
• Check machine guarding and emergency stops before operation
• Participate in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
• Promote a strong “safety-first” culture

CNC Machinist Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Skilled with precision measuring instruments
• Experience with CNC program editing and troubleshooting
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Enthusiastic, reliable, and a strong team player
• Flexible and open to learning new technologies and processes
