About the role We’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic, part time DT Technician to join our busy and creative Design Technology department. You’ll play a key role in supporting teaching staff—both behind the scenes and in the classroom—helping students get hands-on with exciting practical activities across areas like Food Technology, Laser Cutting, and 3D Printing. From preparing resources and maintaining machinery to offering in-class support and ensuring health and safety standards are met, you’ll help bring the curriculum to life. You’ll also provide vital administrative support and contribute to a positive, well-organised learning environment. You’ll be part of a dedicated team working together to deliver our Trust’s shared ambition: a great education for every child. About you You’re practical, organised, and confident working independently. You enjoy being hands-on and have experience using a range of tools and equipment. You’re approachable, a great communicator, and ready to build strong relationships with students and staff alike. We’re looking for someone who: Can manage their own workload and prioritise effectively Has technical expertise and can demonstrate safe use of machinery and tools Is happy to support students in practical lessons, especially in Food Technology (training provided) Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Works well as part of a team and enjoys sharing skills and ideas If you are passionate about designing and making and can bring an infectious enthusiasm we want to hear from you.
