Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the ReFRESH, Young Peoples Substance Misuse Service as a Training and Brief Intervention Practitioner.
You will be responsible for the organisation and delivery of drug and alcohol awareness training, screening and brief intervention training, as well as other bespoke training to the CYPFS workforce with the aim to increase awareness, knowledge and confidence around drugs and alcohol.
You will also be responsible for the organisation and delivery of education-based group sessions with young people aged from 11 through to young adulthood. You will deliver alongside other ReFRESH Practitioners engaging and educational sessions with the goal of early intervention and identification of those who need further support.
You will seek opportunities to expand the role and be involved in community-based events with the view to increase the reach of the ReFRESH service.
Previous experience of planning and facilitating educational group sessions to young people and professionals is essential as well as knowledge of substance misuse and it’s impact on individuals and families.
You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills with a commitment to work collaboratively with partners across the children’s workforce ensuring delivery of integrated provision. You will be informed and able to promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and/or vulnerable adults at all times.
