Summary
We're looking to recruit an experienced Housing Officer in Liverpool to support our social housing client on a 8/9 month maternity cover contract. You will be responsible for delivering day to day housing and tenancy management services across your own designated patch of properties, acting as the key point of contact for all customers and stakeholders in your area
Your new role
- Conduct regular estate inspections to identify issues such as fly-tipping, vandalism or maintenance needs
- Carry out tenancy audits and home visits to ensure occupancy and identify support needs
- Investigate and resolve breaches of tenancy, anti-social behaviour and nuisance, including cases of tenancy fraud, subletting and property misuse
- Provide advice and support to tenants, helping to sustain their tenancies and access relevant services
- Prepare case files and legal documentation for legal proceedings such as possession or injunction applications, preparing and serving notices
- Respond to complaints and enquiries, monitor service performance and maintain records of all interactions, inspections and casework
What you'll need to succeed
- A strong background in a customer-facing housing and tenancy management role, with experience of managing cases of ASB, safeguarding and other tenancy breaches
- A good knowledge of housing legislation and best practice
- Ability to challenge non-compliance and manage professional relationships with low-medium level support needs tenants
- Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
