Summary
Are you an enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a supportive secondary school environment? Hays Education are working with a reputable secondary school in Preston to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. This is a long-term, ongoing role with the potential for further development.
Your new role
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support students across a range of subjects and year groups. Your duties will include assisting in the preparation of learning materials, supporting students in the classroom, and providing targeted help to individuals or small groups who may need additional support. You will help to promote positive behaviour, encourage student engagement, and contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment. You may also assist with administrative tasks, supervise students during break times, and support school activities as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based or similar setting).
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Hays)
