Summary

Deputy Health and Safety Manager

Location: Working across the Group – Wakefield, Castleford and Selby Colleges

Salary: £35,071 - £37,201 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

Weeks: 52 weeks per year

Are you ready to take the next step in your Health and Safety career? We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Deputy Health and Safety Manager to join our Estates team to help ensure a safe, compliant and positive environment for all staff, student and visitors across our Campuses.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a values-driven education group, where your expertise will directly support the wellbeing and success of our college community.

You will be required to:

· Support in developing, testing and maintaining the Group’s Incident Management and Business Continuity plans

· Support in the development and delivery of annual programme of Health and Safety training for the Group, such as Fire Safety, Manual Handling, and DSE Assessments

· Monitor national security alerts and guidance, ensuring the Group remains responsive

· Contribute to continuous improvement of Health and Safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.

· Assist in managing RIDDOR reporting and liaising with HSE/EHO as required

You will have:

· GCSEs in Maths and English A*-C/9-4 or equivalent

· NEBOSH Certificate

· Membership of IOSH or actively working towards

· Full clean UK driving licence – as travel between sites will be required

· First Aid at Work qualification, or willingness to achieve

· ISO9001 – Internal Auditor, or willingness to achieve
