Location: Chelson Meadow, Plymouth City Council Hours: 06:00–14:30, Monday to Friday (37 hours/week)
Pay: £12.85 PAYE
Are you reliable, hard-working, and ready to make a visible difference in your community? Plymouth City Council is seeking a Street Scene & Waste Operative to join their dedicated team at Chelson Meadow. This temporary role covers long-term sickness and offers a great opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and cleanliness of public spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out manual labour tasks including street cleaning, waste collection, and general maintenance
Operate equipment safely and efficiently
Work as part of a team to maintain high standards of environmental care
Follow health and safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For:
A strong work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Punctuality and reliability
Previous experience in manual labour or waste operations (preferred but not essential)
