Summary
Are you a data-driven Quantity Surveyor, happy to drill into the figures to optimise efficiency, taking ownership of the process and considering alternative approaches? We’re a national Property Services contractor focused on people, sustainability, and exceptional client delivery/customer satisfaction, and we’re looking for a QS who shares our ethos to work with our reputable social housing clients on day-to-day repairs and voids maintenance works.
Based in our Leeds Response Maintenance office, you’ll support our operations in Manchester, enjoying the fast pace of work in our collaborative team.
You’ll need advanced Excel skills, the ability to quickly interrogate & manipulate data & to explain & justify decisions. Together with your deep understanding of SOR codes & knowledge of social housing, you’ll help us to deliver cost savings & value for money so that we can do more for our customers.

The Quantity Surveyor role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will actively price materials and labour for our responsive repairs workstream using SORs, whilst managing the financial performance of this works to its completion. Focusing on reducing costs, improving efficiencies, and maximising value, you will have real impact on our profitability.
Specific tasks will include:
Being responsible for the financial and technical aspects of the contract. This will include procurement, managing budget, direct labour targeting, subcontractor management, invoicing, payments, cash flow, and cost control.
Minimising costs where possible, and maximising value.
Working with direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring all work issued has labour targets to return agreed profit performance.
Developing and maintaining open and trusting relationships with the workforce, our customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and our client.
Producing monthly contract valuations of the unit’s actual deliverables against the projected budget (CVRs)
What will you bring as a Quantity Surveyor?
Proven experience in a similar commercial or Quantity Surveying role- ideally you will have experience of working on Schedule of Rates (SORs) contract and with social housing clients.
Proven ability to minimise cost and maximise value, profit, and cash flow.
Strong IT and Microsoft excel skills- this is essential.
Ability to process high volumes of data analysis.
Experience in working with direct labour and subcontract procurement.
