Summary
Production Operative – Food Manufacturing
Location: Winchester
Pay: £12.50 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (day shifts starting between 06:00 and 10:00)
Join our client’s busy food manufacturing team in Winchester and play a key role in producing high-quality products. As a Production Operative, you’ll help ensure every item meets strict safety and quality standards while keeping operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
Operate and monitor production machinery, following recipes and ensuring optimal performance
Adhere to HACCP principles, food safety, and hygiene regulations—“clean as you go”
Conduct regular equipment checks, perform basic troubleshooting, and record production data accurately
Perform quality checks and complete all required documentation
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
Maintain a clean, organised work area in compliance with health regulations
What We’re Looking For
Previous food manufacturing or FMCG experience (preferred, not essential)
Strong understanding of food safety practices; HACCP knowledge is an advantage
Mechanical aptitude for operating and maintaining equipment
Good literacy, numeracy, and attention to detail for accurate measurement and documentation
Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely
