Summary
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant with a Level 2 childcare qualification to join a welcoming early years setting, starting as soon as possible. This is a wonderful opportunity to support young children’s learning and development in a nurturing environment.
Duties as Nursery Assistant:
Assist in delivering a stimulating, play-based curriculum for children aged 0–5.
Support the daily care routines, including meals, hygiene, and outdoor activities.
Work closely with the room leader and colleagues to plan and implement engaging activities.
Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to individual learning journeys.
Maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment, following safeguarding and health & safety policies.
Ideal Nursery Assistant:
Level 2 Early Years/Childcare qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
Experience working in a nursery or early years setting is highly desirable.
A warm, patient and enthusiastic approach, with excellent communication skills as a Nursery Assistant.
Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and a commitment to inclusive practice.
