Summary
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school on a permanent basis, starting January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire a love of music and nurture students’ creativity across a dynamic department.
Duties as a Music Teacher:
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Lead practical sessions in performance, composition and music theory.
Organise and support school concerts, ensembles and extracurricular music activities.
Assess, monitor and report on students’ progress in line with school policies.
Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom environment that fosters creativity and confidence.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and enrich the school’s musical life.
Ideal Music Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for both traditional and contemporary music.
Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
Excellent organisational, communication and classroom management skills as Music Teacher.
Commitment to supporting extracurricular music and whole-school events.
