Summary
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPathway Coordination & Validation Patient pathway queries Progressing patient referrals through the NHSE PBT referral portal resolvingallocation issues (e.g. Treatment centre allocations) not handled automaticallyby Direct Passthrough Act as first point-of-contact for clinicians, centres and commissionersregarding individual portal-tracked pathwaysEscalation & breach avoidance Identify and escalate any pathway bottlenecks (e.g. backlog, insufficientcentre capacity) to relevant Department and/or Team Manager for actionStop or pause direct passthrough components when clinically indicated orrequired Ensure referral to treatment (RTT) standards and national rules are adheredto, undertaking regular audits. Undertake failsafe coordination activities.Coordination of Patient Pathway Facilitate the timely and accurate delivery of all clinical informationrequirements, liaising with clinical teams, MDTs and departments across theTrust, and at tertiary centres, to ensure availability at required pathway points.
