Additional salary information: | £49,370 – £54,142 per annum inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, subject to salary review plus SEN1 (£2,539) or SEN2 (£4,539) allowance for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria • Orchard Hill College offers an additional allowance of £2,539 per annum if you hold QTS, QTLS or have a PGCE. Summary
This role involves leading on a specific curriculum area, assisting with the development of the curriculum, allocation of resources, supervision and support of staff to ensure effective, learner-centred teaching that meets the needs of adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. This will involve working in collaboration with Carers, Therapists and personnel from Social Services, as well as internal colleagues. You will also work with the management team to further develop the College into a valuable resource centre for fellow professionals.
The successful candidate will need to have a thorough understanding of the curriculum and a wide range of teaching experience with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. It is essential that you have DET/DTLLS or an equivalent teaching qualification and have experience in leading a team of Lecturers. You should also be used to planning educational programmes. Experience of behaviour support would also be beneficial.
