You will be required to carry out duties appropriate to the grade and purpose of the role including, but not limited to, the following:

Leadership and Management

  • Line manage and develop a team to implement agency-wide master data governance policies and standards.
  • Design and oversee data quality assurance processes for master and reference data, collaborating with domain leads and subject matter experts to enhance data accuracy and consistency.
  • Manage Reference Data Analysts to align the data catalogue with wider data management processes and systems.

Operational Delivery

  • Oversee the integration, synchronisation, and lifecycle management of reference data, ensuring accuracy and effective distribution in collaboration with analysts.
  • Provide policy advice, contribute to policy development, and ensure the smooth operation of processes within your remit.
  • Maintain high-quality master and reference data through audits, issue resolution, and enforcement of data standards.

Stakeholder Engagement and Continuous Improvement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with APHA’s priorities.
  • Support the development and delivery of engagement and communication plans to achieve common goals.
