Summary
The Kyem Initiative is an exciting new Charity, delivering support to homeless adults in Nottinghamshire. We provide support to those living in Supported Accommodation, working alongside established housing providers.
We are a small, dedicated team working hard to provide tailored support and maintain high standards of accommodation.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role is to work with the residents living in René House CIC accommodation, who have additional support needs alongside being homeless/at risk of becoming homeless, we support them in different areas including budgeting, mental health, low level addiction, life skills, maintaining accommodation and many more.
This is a full time position – 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday
The role of the Homelessness support worker includes the following:
- To support our residents with things such as:
Building life skills
Understanding and maintaining a tenancy
Personal administration tasks
Signposting and providing support to access external services for support with: Mental health, drug and alcohol issues, employment and training opportunities etc.
To provide emotional support to our residents
Budgeting sessions and managing debt
Accessing the local community
Keep running records and documentation accurate up to date
To complete support plans and risk assessments with our residents
To organize personal workload effectively
LOCATION:
René House has separate properties in Nottinghamshire; therefore, you would be required to travel to different locations. Your role will include meeting residents away from the property and travelling with them to different locations.
THIS ROLE REQUIRES YOU TO DRIVE AND HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR OWN VEHICLE. MILEAGE WILL BE REIMBURSED.
