Essex Professional Coaching are seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as a Play & Activity Leader, who's superhero power will be to create a fun and enriching environment for children at our clubs!

As a Wraparound Play and Activity Leader, you will be responsible for supervising and engaging children at one of our following Ofsted registered provisions in the Colchester area:

Earls Colne Primary, CO6 2RH

Reporting directly to the settings lead, the Play and Activity Leader will be responsible for:

- Assisting the settings lead with planning, preparing and delivering fun play opportunities within a safe and caring environment

- Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures to ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of the children in your care at all times

- Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, schools, childcare and play related agencies and most importantly the children!

If you possess that possesses the following skills, we would love to hear from you about this role:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Enthusiastic, passionate and caring personality
Ability to manage and support a group of children with varying needs and behaviours
Knowledge of Ofsted requirements principles and practices (desirable)
Previous experience working in childcare or nursery settings (desirable)
Interview Stages

After shortlisting has taken place, we adopt a 2 stage interview process:

1. Telephone Interview - To go through the role and get to know you in more detail

2. Trial session - If successful in stage 1 you will then be invited to attend either a morning or afternoon slot at one of our current wraparound provisions to work alongside our team to support the days activities

Successful applicants will then be provided with a job offer via telephone and this will be followed up with email confirmation and a full induction.

Working hours and days are flexible and can be build around the needs of the individual with clubs taking place at the following times:

Breakfast Club (7.30am - 9am)
Afterschool Club (3pm - 5.15pm)
