What the school offers its staff

Outwood Academy Ormesby can be found in the town of Middlesbrough in the north-east of England. Our goal is to continuously improve and become a leading academy in the region.

Through strong leadership, we empower our staff to excel and ensure that students receive the best possible education and outcomes. The academy provides an excellent environment for professional development and making a positive impact on the lives of students in the area.

At our academy, we have highly trained staff and effective safeguarding measures in place to support all staff members. Additionally, the SLT and staff work together effectively to ensure that all students are actively engaged in their education.

Temenos is our internal alternative provision. Between 8 and 15 children are supported through Temenos to re-engage in their learning and the school. Students will be taught in Temenos for up to one term and have all of their lessons within the Temenos provision. The classroom teacher will deliver these, alongside a higher level teaching assistant. Students also benefit from interventions and social and emotional support sessions, some of which are delivered by the classroom teacher. After their time in Temenos, students transition back into the mainstream school with a renewed sense of purpose and belonging.

We believe that our school is a special place to work with lots to offer and we hope to appoint individuals who will further enhance and supplement our staff team. We will provide a welcoming and supportive working environment, an experienced leadership team, fantastic children and an abundance of resources.
