Summary

The Best Connection are seeking to recruit a Transport Co-Ordinator to work with their client in Darlington.

This is a fantastic Temp to Perm opportunity for an experienced Transport Co-Ordinator to join a busy distribution team, supporting daily transport operations and ensuring compliance.

The Role:

* Allocate driver schedules, pre-brief and debrief drivers

* Handle daily transport issues and keep customers updated

* Complete driver reports and paperwork

* Plan holiday cover and support with backhaul planning

* Report vehicle defects and minimise downtime

* Learn and monitor compliance (WTD & driving hours)

* Ad hoc duties as required

* Initial training alongside Team Leaders before running shifts independently as a Transport Co-Ordinator

Candidate Requirements:

* Previous Transport Co-Ordinator or transport background preferred

* Strong organisational and communication skills

* Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn

* IT literate - TMS knowledge (Sharp, Sphere) an advantage

Hours & Pay:

* 40 hours per week (30 min unpaid break)

* Core: 12:00 - 20:00 (occasional nights 20:00 - 06:00)

* Training shifts: 06:00 - 14:00 / 12:00 - 20:00 / 20:00 - 06:00

* £13.70 per hour + overtime at 1.5x
