Summary
The CCTV Operator will develop and lead operational excellence and best practice; optimising our service and value offering to customers to achieve performance targets. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operational requirements of the contract in line with customer and contractual expectations by supervising the site security team. The role also supports the Shift Team Leader with their areas of responsibilities. The Control Room Officer plays an integral role in ensuring that consistently high standards of security, safety and customer care are always delivered.Information:Position: Control Room OfficerLocation: PwC (Belfast Merchant Square)Pay Rate: £13.46 per hourHours: Average 42 hours per weekShifts: Days & Nights - 4 on 4 offJob Requirements:SIA CCTV Licence required.SIA Licence (DS or SG) required.Corporate CCTV security experience required.Excellent PC skills and Microsoft knowledge required.Experience of working in a demanding, high-pressure environmentExcellent understanding of access control & CCTV systemsCustomer focused, with a strong knowledge of customer service skills.Demonstrate a strong aptitude for multi-tasking.Excellent written and verbal communication.Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.Team player, who will support colleagues and provide ideas to improve service delivery.Ability to think and act quickly in emergency incidents or under pressure.Job Responsibilities:Deliver and encourage outstanding customer service delivery.Carry out training with Security Officer’s and ensure that there are suitable personnel on your shift ableto step up and cover your role.Achieve onsite Ccure certification and be responsible for all alarm monitoring and CCTV for their cluster of sites and ensuring that all alarms are investigated, responded to and escalated in accordance with site procedures.Responding to life safety systems, such as fire alarm, panic alarm, PIR, lift alarms, BMS, etc and initiating incident response in accordance with site procedures.Ensure fire system isolations and enablement are carried out in line with set procedures and in conjunction with onsite engineers.Supervise routine tests of all systems including Fire, Safety and Security equipment, CCTV and access control systems and maintain accurate auditable records of these tests.Report and log any system outages to the relevant departments and escalate accordingly.Support with managing incidents including directing staff, liaising with emergency services or escalation as required.Effectively monitor, escalate, and provide effective initial reporting for all relevant emergency situations.Pro-actively lead the operation of the Security Control Room by ensuring all duties are carried out in accordance with documented procedures and policies.Communicate effectively with the customer and other colleagues, having the ability to triage and escalate security queries from the business.To administer, monitor and respond to strict procedures for the customers electronic issue of site related keys.Be responsible for the DOB, log all relevant occurrences, faults and incidents accurately and in accordance with site procedures.Ensure that incident and loss reports are compiled and submitted appropriately.Assist with the training and development of Security Control Room support personnel on all control room equipment and ensure the team are competent in their roles and duties in the control room.Maintain weekly checks documents of all schedule system checks.Maintain and produce daily rotation rota for the Control Room team.Assist with security investigations, providing relevant data required from the security systems.Ensure that all staff work in safe conditions.Ensure accurate records are maintained of all equipment.Conduct daily briefings and carry out a handover to the oncoming security controller.Continual review and development of the security control room function and, providing innovative solutions where possible.Keep the security control room clean, tidy and representable at all times.Undertake any other tasks as identified by the Security Management team.Benefits:Health care plan (HSF)Perk Box (HSF) - discounts & offers from cinema tickets to days outCycle to work schemeTailored Site UniformFirst class training allowing you to develop your skillsA view for career developmentLong service & Employee Recognition awardsAnd much more!!A globally recognised Security Solutions Specialist delivering service excellence, to our Customers, Colleagues, and Communities.
