Summary
To maintain the Blacksmithing, Farriery and Welding workshops, tools, equipment and stores, and to provide technical support to staff and students across the Blacksmithing, Farriery and Welding curriculum area. To support and participate fully in the ongoing Faculty and College activities to achieve the College’s key mission and objectives.
The key responsibilities of the post include workshop and equipment maintenance, supporting staff and students in the practical delivery of the curriculum, and managing consumable stocks and the preparation of lesson materials.
We are looking for an individual who has a real commitment to comprehensive post 16 education and training, ideally with relevant workshop maintenance / management experience, preferably within an educational / vocational training context.
Then post will be based at our Holme Lacy Campus and whoever we appoint will need to be able to work well with young people as well as being able to oversee the logistics of workshop management and development.
