Summary

Plant Operator

Bridgwater | £33-35k | 12-Hour Shifts (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am) | 5-Week Rota | Permanent Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Plant Operator for a state-of-the-art energy-from-waste facility in Bridgwater. This role involves maintaining and operating plant systems, including working in a computer-based control room to monitor and control operations.

Key Duties:
  • Perform routine plant tests and checks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Collect and record data on plant operations to maintain accurate records.
  • Report any non-conformances to the relevant teams and take necessary actions to resolve issues.
  • Operate the main boiler and turbine to maintain steam and electricity generation.
  • Conduct comprehensive shift handovers.
  • Assist in the operation of other plant systems as needed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an energy or waste management facility.
  • Knowledge of plant operations and general maintenance procedures.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Familiarity with computer-based control systems is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and comfortable working at heights.
