Summary
Job Opportunity: KS2 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Southport
We are looking for a patient, enthusiastic, and committed Teaching Assistant to join a primary school's Key Stage 2 team in Southport, working on a one-to-one basis with a pupil who requires additional support.
This is a term-time-only position, ideal for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful difference in a child's learning journey.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to provide tailored support that meets the individual needs of the pupil.
You will assist with classroom activities, help reinforce learning objectives, and offer emotional and behavioural support throughout the school day.
Your role will involve building a trusting relationship with the pupil, encouraging independence, and helping them to access the curriculum in a way that suits their learning style.
We welcome applicants who have experience working in a primary school setting or supporting children with additional needs. A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable, but not essential. What matters most is your dedication, flexibility, and ability to work as part of a supportive and forward-thinking team.
