This paid graduate role gives you genuine classroom responsibility and targeted mentoring from experienced teachers and SEN leads — ideal if you plan to progress to teacher training, educational psychology, or specialist support roles. You’ll work across Early Years, KS1 or KS2 supporting whole-class lessons, small groups and 1:1 interventions (including SEN, EAL and speech & language support). Expect to lead phonics, literacy or numeracy groups, prepare/adapt resources and help foster positive behaviour and confidence. Key responsibilities - Graduate Classroom Assistant
• Support class teachers in daily planning and classroom routines • Deliver small-group sessions in phonics, literacy or numeracy • Provide targeted 1:1 support for pupils with SEN/EAL or speech & language needs • Prepare and adapt learning resources and visual aids • Monitor, record and feedback on pupil progress and behaviour (in line with teacher guidance) • Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom climate
Who we’re looking for - Graduate Classroom Assistant
• Graduate with a 2:1 or above (any subject; Psychology, English, Education desirable) • Prior experience with children (volunteering, tutoring, coaching or paid work) • Calm, adaptable, reflective and keen to learn from mentors and CPD • Committed to a full academic year in a full-time capacity • DBS check required (or willing to apply), right to work in the UK
