Full time hours on a temporary basis
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Housing Solutions Officer to join our team. You will play a key role in preventing homelessness by providing advice, support, and practical solutions to individuals and families in housing need.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored housing advice and support to clients at risk of homelessness.
- Assess housing needs and develop personalised housing plans.
- Work with landlords, housing providers, and partner agencies to secure accommodation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant housing legislation and policies.
- Maintain accurate case records and manage a caseload effectively.
- Support clients through the homelessness application process where necessary.
- Experience in housing advice, homelessness prevention, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of housing legislation (e.g. Homelessness Reduction Act).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- IT literate with experience using case management systems.
