Summary

We’re looking for a dedicated and reliable Multisite Cleaning Operative to join our Streetscene team, helping to keep our public conveniences and other council-owned buildings clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors across the New Forest.

This is a varied and active role where you’ll work across multiple sites, either independently or as part of a team, delivering high standards of cleanliness and customer service. You’ll be a visible and valued part of our frontline services, often the first point of contact for members of the public.

What you’ll be doing:

Working a rota pattern over 7 days per week, which averages 37hrs per week.
Carrying out scheduled and reactive cleaning duties across council buildings and public conveniences.
Ensuring facilities are safe, hygienic, and well-stocked.
Conducting basic maintenance checks and legionella monitoring.
Using council vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly.

What we’re looking for:

Experience in cleaning or facilities maintenance (desirable).
A full UK manual driving licence (minimum 3.5 tonne).
Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Awareness of COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
Strong communication and customer care skills.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and handle challenging situations professionally.

You’ll be provided with full training, PPE, and the tools you need to succeed. This role requires an Enhanced DBS check and manual handling training (provided within the first month).
