Summary
Full-Time Science & Maths Teacher - Specialist SEN Provision
Lewisham | £180-£270 per day | Immediate Start | Full Academic Year
We're recruiting for a confident, experienced teacher to join a well-established specialist provision in Lewisham. This full-time role begins immediately and runs through to the end of the academic year, offering a rewarding opportunity to teach and support pupils with complex needs.
This setting is known for its inclusive, structured approach to education. It caters to learners aged 11-16 with a range of special educational needs, including autism spectrum conditions, speech and language difficulties, and emotional or behavioural challenges. The school environment is calm, consistent, and highly supportive - with a strong emphasis on communication, wellbeing, and personalised learning.
Role Overview:
• Teach Science (Entry Level) and Maths (up to GCSE) across KS3 and KS4
• Take pastoral responsibility for a KS4 form group (10 Year 10 pupils)
• Deliver additional sessions in ASDAN, PSHE, and life skills
• Plan and deliver your own curriculum content
• Work alongside 1-2 experienced TAs in each class
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Proven UK-based SEN teaching experience, ideally in KS3/KS4
• Strong subject knowledge in Science and Maths
• Calm, structured approach with excellent communication skills
• DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
