Summary
Are you calm, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people with complex needs? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Sale (M33) that caters to students aged 1119 with severe learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with complex needs
Assist in managing challenging behaviour using de-escalation strategies
Support students with personal care and sensory regulation
Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored interventions
Build trusting relationships with students and promote emotional wellbeing
Contribute to a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
What Were Looking For
Experience working with children or young people with severe SEN/SEMH
Confidence in managing challenging behaviour calmly and consistently
Team Teach training (desirable but not essential)
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
